Summer Program Information


Since 2000 the Adaptive Sports Foundation has been offering quality summer recreational adaptive sports. We offer water skiing, canoeing, kayaking, archery and sailing. Pontoon rides are also available for groups and families.
Our activities take place at Camp Massawippi in Ayer’s Cliff, Quebec.

Who can Participate:
Our summer adaptive sports are designed for all individuals with physical disabilities age 8 and older.
Instructors:
Our instructors are qualified to teach sit-skiing, stand-up skiing, wakeboarding, adaptive canoeing, kayaking and sailing. Come learn how to ski.
Summer Program Location:
Our summer activities take place at Camp Massawippi in Ayer’s Cliff, Quebec. Camp Massawippi has all the adaptive facilities; ramps, washrooms, showers, change room and medical staff. It is situated on Lake Massawippi covering 19 acres which includes cabins, cafeteria etc. It is a great place for students and families to enjoy the days of summer!
Cost:
Water skiing: $25 per 15 minutes, tow or pull. Price includes water ski boat, instructors and equipment.
Day package $100: Join us for a day of outdoor activities which include water skiing, kayaking, canoeing and sailling. Cost includes instructors, water ski boat and all equipment, including the ski vest. Participants are welcome to bring their own ski vests or wetsuits (not included) if they wish.
Pontoon rides: $20 per person/ 1 to 2hrs
Hours:
Day Hours are from 10am to 12pm & 1pm to 3pm
Payment:
Payment is due on day of activity. Cheques or cash is accepted and will be receipted.

Summer 2011 Schedule:
Summer activities begin at the end of June and finish mid September. There are limited spaces so it is important to register early. Friends and family are encouraged to join in and register for a day of shared outdoor activities.
Important to note: Waterskiing will only be done on Wednesdays & Fridays from 9am to 4pm and Tuesdays & Thursdays from 1pm to 2:30pm.

Registration:
If you are interested in participating please fill in a registration form online, indicating the day you are interested in coming. Sessions must be booked at least 3 days in advance.
Partnerships:
We are proud of our partnerships with MAB Mackay Rehabilitation center, Jean Perreault’s Ski School, Water ski Wakeboard Canada and the SkiAbility Program. These partnerships open the door to adaptive sports for people with physical disabilities. Sports make people more active, improves their self confidence and quality of life to enjoy with family and friends.
