Testimonials – Winter Program 2012

“This is one of the greatest programs for disabled people in Quebec. After three years of learning to ski, I could proudly say that I’m skiing today, with full assurance and control. Thanks for this foundation to have allowed us to gain freedom and acquire more self-confidence in outdoor activities, and thanks to all devoted wonderful instructors sharing with us their life experience in ski and in life. Thanks a lot for people like you.”

"Introduction to skiing or Cirque du Soleil? The experience has been intense and amazing. One word, thank you! The accompaniment, instructor quality (Lucie), her assistant (Josée), your team is really perfect. I am finishing the training session with the taste to start again or rather, to continue. Skiing is a winter activity that will allow me to be with my family, to enjoy winter with them. "(Translation)

"The experience with the foundation is fantastic! The impossible seems far, because being on the slopes with a tremendous support from my instructors, it is not far from us to grow wings. It is the pleasure of going down on skis while having the assurance of good security. Thank you the Adaptive Sports Foundation." (Translation)

"Hello Peter,

You can imagine how much I already look forward to next year.

The program this year was not only encouraging for me as a skier in search of autonomy, but an opportunity to establish better contact with people quite extraordinary, exceptional people that I love to see and see again, each week.
It's nice to see how you represent so much happiness, for all your participants.
You not only give them the chance to excel, but undoubtedly to achieve what they never thought feasible, in their condition.

For my part, never wanting or even agreeing to take the place of someone else, I just hope to keep mine and help encourage others .., to try, to persevere, to appreciate ...
I cannot find the words to tell you how it's impressive to see you go.
Thank you, thank you very much! " (Translation)

Dear Marie-Lyse,
Actually, I wanted to write and thank you for all the attention that you gave for Jocelyn.

The small ceremony was really successful and it was really touching to see the joy in the face of each person receiving their certificates. The first girl had tears in her eyes. It’s to tell you up to what point you do good to those who have some type of a difference. Nothing is impossible and I really tip my hat. You are all wonderful.

I would like you to convey my gratitude and appreciation to all the volunteers who have really done a wonderful job. We must thank them for their efforts, their patience and the joy they show when there is a small or large success. They are always there to encourage them. It's really amazing to see them all so cheerful and always happy to be there despite the fact they could all be very well sitting in their living room ... But no, they have at heart to help people experience extraordinary things, who could not without them, just like Jocelyn experiences this year.

A special "Thank You" to Elizabeth for the private lessons from which Jocelyn has benefited. She was really patient.

So to all of you, "THANK YOU" with all my heart and I hope Jocelyn will have the chance to return next year.

THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. (Translation)

Hello

A quick note by email to thank you most sincerely for my adaptive skiing days on February 18 and 25, 2012. I really enjoyed my days of outdoor and skiing.

Thank you so much for the organization because without you, this wonderful activity would not exist! Thank you to all the volunteers who help the foundation.

Please, please thank, on my behalf, my five volunteers who took care of me for those two Saturdays. The two volunteers were Gisèle, and Robert Vaillant on the 18th and three volunteers on the 25th were Treacy, Kristy and Darcy. I really had fun with them and I am keeping fond memories.

For me, the snow conditions were perfect on the 25th of February. I felt more in control because the snow was abundant.

I'm looking forward to next season!

See you and good day! (Translation)

“Cette experience fût des plus exaltante. J’ai pû retrouver un sentiment de liberté que je n’avais pas ressenti depuis longtemps. Le professionalisme et l’expérience don’t vous avez tous fait prevue étaient hors du commun, je n’ai jamais participer à aucune activité ayant ce niveau d’excellence. J’ai définitivement retrouvé une joie de vivre, je ne m’étais pas entendu rire depuis tellement longtemps, quell plaisir. Et qui sait, slalom ou bosses, I’ll try it all!!!! Thank you very much” - Christine Gauthier
